FPOAFM Nomadic Art/Craft Collective gave away 100 handmade glazed ceramic cups filled with iced tea to pedestrians in the southern space around the Unisphere in Flushing Meadows Corona Park on the day of the Queens Interventions in late September.

Tea is known as a social drink and is as old as ceramic history, so the FPOAFM collective finds it fitting to combine the two.   During the Intervention, FPOAFM members hoped to gain some understanding -- over tea-- of how people live and cope with living in a city that is often so chaotic and overwhelming and also hope that the gifted ceramics will be used and remembered rather than immediately thrown away like a plastic cup.
